Author Biography

Victor Chee Wai Hoe, Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence Based Practice, Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Dr. Victor Hoe, a Professor of Occupational and Environmental Health, boasts a diverse career in public health and safety. With expertise in occupational medicine, he heads the Academic Section of Social and Preventive Medicine at the University of Malaya and leads the Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment Unit at its Medical Centre.

Holding a Doctorate in Occupational Health and Safety and numerous Master's degrees, Dr. Hoe has extensive experience in academic, hospital, and industrial settings. Notably, he contributed to the University Malaya Medical Centre's COVID-19 response, developing safety protocols and ensuring hospital health during the pandemic.

Beyond academia, Dr. Hoe serves as a consultant for Environmental Impact Assessments, contributing to responsible development projects across Malaysia. His research interests range from worksite wellness and ergonomics to health risk assessment and evidence-based medicine, reflecting his commitment to improving public health and safety across diverse contexts.
