Confidentiality & Pre-Publicity

Confidentiality

At JoWaCH, strict adherence to confidentiality is paramount throughout the editorial and peer-review process. Our policy ensures a double-blind and anonymous review process, where the identities of both reviewers and authors are safeguarded. Reviewers are expressly prohibited from discussing any aspect of a submitted manuscript with unauthorized individuals, as determined by the Editor. Similarly, authors are expected to refrain from publicizing details about their manuscript until after publication.

Pre-Publicity

Authors are strongly advised against discussing their work with media or other journals before formal publication. Should a manuscript under consideration at JoWaCH be leaked to the press or media prematurely, the journal reserves the right to investigate. Editors will assess the authors' cooperation with journalists during this process, and the final decision will be based on editorial judgment. If the journal's policies are violated, the manuscript may be rejected, even if it has already received press coverage.

While submissions to JoWaCH can be presented at scientific meetings, authors are also free to present abstracts in conference proceedings. Additionally, contributions submitted to the journal may be posted on platforms such as wikis or the author's blog. However, explicit details, including the website name and URL, should be provided in the cover letter submitted with the manuscript to the journal's editor.
