The Journal of Women and Child Health (JoWaCH) stands as a Quarterly Journal at the forefront of scientific exploration and clinical practice, committed to the comprehensive health and well-being of Women, neonates, children, and adolescents. Encompassing a wide array of interconnected disciplines, including Women's health, gynecological and obstetrical issues, occupational health of Women, and the continuum of care across the lifespan, JoWaCH provides a holistic perspective on Women and Child Health.

KEY AREAS OF FOCUS:

JoWaCH is committed to publishing high-quality research and clinical practice insights across the entire spectrum of Women's and Child Health (WCH) in a global context. We welcome submissions encompassing both clinical and public health aspects, legal and policy dimensions, and other relevant domains.

Here are some key areas of focus, but note that JoWaCH is also open to considering manuscripts exploring other aspects of WCH not explicitly listed below:

Women's Health:

  • Reproductive health: Access to safe abortion, family planning, contraception, management of gynecological conditions, SRHR education, epidemiological studies on maternal morbidity/mortality, reduction strategies, postpartum care, social determinants, psychosocial aspects.
  • Chronic diseases: Culturally sensitive NCD management, mental health, nutrition/physical activity interventions, digital health tools, gender disparities in access to care, occupational health risks, maternal health in the workplace, gender-based violence.
  • Gender equity and empowerment: Promoting women's leadership, addressing discrimination, economic empowerment, engaging men/boys in gender equality.

Child Health:

  • Nutrition and malnutrition: Micronutrient deficiencies, infant/young child feeding, food fortification, school feeding programs, social determinants, interventions for malnutrition.
  • Injuries and disabilities: Prevention strategies, rehabilitation/support services, social/economic integration.
  • Vaccines and immunization: Vaccine development for neglected diseases, overcoming hesitancy, strengthening programs, ethical considerations.

1. Women's Health

Main Focus: This section addresses women's health across the lifespan, covering a wide range of topics from reproductive health to chronic diseases and mental health.
